Military careers offer many benefits to young
people on the brink of making a decision about what career choice
to make. Army jobs and navy
jobs offer young people benefits such as money for college
or other types of scholarships and tuition assistance. The US
military offers technical training to persons who want to
enlist and get commissioned. The US
military also offers great job security since retrenchments
are almost unheard of and also offers great opportunities to travel
not just within the country but possibly all over the world.
Full time military careers can be of a demanding
nature. But there is also the option to being in the military
part time; you can be part of the military
reserve or the National Guard. This will earn you a competitive
pay for the minimum of two days a month and two weeks a year you
have to put in (and any further days you may choose to put in).
You receive technical training in the military
reserve which automatically enrolls you into the community
college of the Air Force. This college offers 66 associate degree
programs in different areas like Aircraft and Missile Maintenance,
Electronics and Telecommunications, Allied Health, Logistics and
Resources and Public and Support Services should you decide that
military careers are the thing for you.
So once you decide upon a career in the military,
whether its army jobs or navy
jobs or jobs in any of the other services such as the air
force, marines or coast guard, you need to look at military
recruiting programs. The military offers many programs providing
financial aid for school to students. These include the Montgomery
G. I. Bill, which provides up to 36 months of education benefits
to eligible veterans for college, business, technical, or vocational
courses, correspondence courses, apprenticeship or job training
and flight training. These benefits may be used while on active
duty or after a fully honorable discharge from active duty. Another
military recruiting program
is the community college of the Air Force which is mentioned above.
This is a two year college open to enlisted men and women, that
leads to an associate degrees as mentioned above.
